We have an exciting opportunity for a dedicated Solo Class A CDL Truck Driver to join our team at Ryder. If you are passionate about driving and ensuring timely deliveries, we want to hear from you

Imagine earning $1,650 weekly, with additional benefits that enhance your pay

  • Weekly Pay
  • Base Pay: $0.55 per Mile with 2500 - 3000 Miles per Week
  • Stops Pay: $19.05 for 3 - 7 Stops per Week
  • Nights Out: 3 - 4 Times Per Week
  • Quarterly Safety Bonus: $500
  • Sign-On Bonus: $3,000 (split into two payments)
  • Paid Training
  • Work Schedule: Sunday - Friday with AM Dispatch

  • Deliver Solo to various states including MI, WI, KS, PA, NJ, NY (excluding NYC), SC, NC, OH, FL, IN, KY, TN, and GA
  • Drive a Sleeper Tractor with 53' Dry Van and Curtainside Trailers
  • Handle Touch Freight: Molding and Building Products
  • Use Strap and Bungee for Load Securement

Our trucks are modern (36 months or newer) and come with 24/7 Roadside Maintenance. Company Drivers can fuel at over 800 Maintenance Facilities nationwide.

Requirements:

  • Must be at least 21 years old
  • Pass a Ryder Drug Test
  • Pass a comprehensive background and motor vehicle check, including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last three years
  • Complete a DOT physical
  • Pass a Ryder road test
  • Hold a valid CDL with necessary endorsements
  • Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor-trailer or comparable vehicle:
    • 9 months of experience within the past 3 years, OR
    • 2 years of experience within the last 5 years, OR
    • 5 years of experience within the last 10 years
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Ability to read, understand, and apply laws, rules, regulations, and policies

Note: Additional screening including employment verification and road tests may be required for certain positions.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with federal and state laws and regulations
  • Identify and mitigate safety hazards
  • Maintain accurate driving records and logs
  • Assist with loading/unloading freight as required
  • Perform other duties as assigned
