Join our team as a vital member of our clinical practice, ensuring the highest quality of patient care under the guidance of our physicians and licensed healthcare providers. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting with various tasks that are critical to patient well-being and treatment.
About the Role
Act as a core part of the healthcare team by facilitating patient flow, rooming patients, and capturing their vital signs and health history.
Collaborate with physicians, assessing the urgency and appropriateness of patient visits, while efficiently scheduling as necessary.
Document all patient care activities in the electronic medical record system, including medication lists and the outcomes of patient interactions.
Administer injections and aid in minor procedures, contributing directly to patient treatment.
Engage in performance improvement and research initiatives aimed at enhancing patient care and organizational effectiveness.
Be flexible and willing to assist in both front and clinical areas when needed, further supporting our healthcare team.
Qualifications
Required Training and Education: High school diploma or equivalent, along with the completion of an accredited medical assisting program. Preference will be given to those with at least one year of patient care experience.
Licensure, Certifications, Registrations: Candidates must hold certification from one of the following: American Medical Technologist (AMT), American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), National Healthcareer Association (NHA), or similar recognized bodies. Additionally, current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from either the American Heart Association or American Red Cross is mandatory.
Physical Requirements: This position involves continuous standing, walking, and sitting. The ability to perform various physical tasks such as bending, kneeling, climbing, and lifting up to 50 lbs is required. Candidates must also be able to work in a latex-safe environment and perform in confined spaces as needed.
