TLC Nursing Associates, Inc.

TLC Nursing Associates, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented and patient-focused Polysomnographer to perform overnight sleep studies and related diagnostic procedures. The Polysomnographer will monitor, analyze, and record physiological data collected during sleep, working under the supervision of a licensed physician or clinical director.

Job Responsibilities

  • Prepare patients for sleep studies by applying electrodes and monitoring equipment.
  • Conduct overnight polysomnographic recordings to monitor brain activity, eye movement, respiration, oxygen saturation, muscle activity, and heart rhythm.
  • Ensure proper calibration of equipment and accurate data collection throughout the study.
  • Identify and respond to sleep-related events, including apnea, hypopnea, and periodic limb movement.
  • Document observations, interventions, and results during and after the study.
  • Educate patients on the purpose and process of sleep testing and provide post-study instructions.
  • Maintain equipment and adhere to infection control and safety standards.
Qualifications
  • Associate's degree or completion of an accredited Polysomnography program required.
  • RPSGT (Registered Polysomnographic Technologist) certification preferred or required based on state regulations.
  • BLS/CPR certification required.
  • Prior experience conducting overnight sleep studies preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail, technical proficiency, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently during overnight shifts and remain alert throughout the study.
