  • Contract Duration: 13 weeks
  • Shift: 06:30 AM - 05:30 PM (10-hour days)
  • Hours per Week: 40
  • Estimated Weekly Salary: $1850 - $1990
  • On Call: Required during the week (typically 2 days) and every 2nd to 3rd weekend; one on-call holiday if applicable
Surgical Technologist Qualifications
  • Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
  • Minimum 1 year of recent experience as a Surgical Tech in open heart or cardiothoracic surgery
  • Current BLS certification (American Heart Association preferred)
  • Ability to participate in on-call rotation (weekdays, weekends, and holidays as assigned)
  • Compliance with onboarding health and competency requirements, including immunizations and background check
Surgical Tech Responsibilities
  • Assist surgeons and the surgical team during open heart and cardiothoracic procedures
  • Prepare and maintain a sterile field in the operating room
  • Set up, count, and account for all surgical instruments and equipment
  • Anticipate the needs of the surgical team and respond promptly
  • Support patient safety and infection control protocols at all times
  • Participate in on-call coverage as scheduled
