What Youll Do

• Lead the design, architecture, and development of native Windows desktop applications using Windows App SDK, WinUI (or related UI frameworks), C#, XAML, andwhen neededC++.
• Define and enforce best?practice standards for Windows desktop development across the codebasearchitecture, performance, memory usage, responsive UI, cross?version compatibility (Windows?10/11+), and maintainability.
• Drive accessibility: integrate and validate support for accessibility APIs, ensure UI controls, focus management, keyboard navigation, screen?reader support, and usability for users with disabilities.
• Collaborate with product designers, UX researchers, QA, and stakeholders to shape feature planning, UI/UX architecture, and Road?map for the Windows platform.
• Own the full lifecycle of features: conception, design, implementation, testing, release, and maintenance, ensuring quality and consistency across releases.
• Diagnose and resolve complex bugs, performance bottlenecks, memory leaks, rendering issues, or compatibility problems, and propose robust architectural solutions.
  

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of Windows desktop application development experience with Windows App SDK, WinUI (or similar), C#, XAML, and preferably native Windows code (C++, Win32/WinRT/COM).
• Deep understanding of Windows application architecture, including interop between managed (.NET) and native code.
• Proven track record of designing, building, and shipping production?quality desktop applications focused on reliability, performance, scalability, and maintainability.
• Strong experience with Windows accessibility APIs and a dedication to building inclusive software.
• Excellent fundamentals in OOP, design patterns, data structures, algorithms, memory management, and asynchronous programming.
• Experience leading technical design, mentoring engineers, conducting code reviews, and making architecture?level decisions.
• Strong communication skills and ability to articulate trade?offs, collaborate cross?functionally, and drive consensus.
• User?centric mindset: focus on polished, intuitive, accessible end?user experiences.
  

Preferred / Bonus

• Experience writing automated UI tests (unit, integration, UI automation) and familiarity with testing frameworks.
• Background in performance optimization for desktop appsmemory usage, startup time, rendering performance, high?DPI support, responsiveness under load.
• Experience with localization/globalization, right?to?left UI, and multi?region accessibility.
• Familiarity with telemetry, analytics, crash reporting, logging, and error monitoring.
• Prior experience shaping CI/CD workflows, release pipelines, and deployment strategies for desktop applications.
• Demonstrated ability to own feature areas or modules and manage technical debt long term.
