Senior Estimator / Preconstruction Manager
Cleveland, Ohio | Strong Compensation & Benefits | Local + Regional Projects
We’re representing a well-established commercial / institutional construction firm based in Northeast Ohio that’s growing rapidly and investing heavily in its preconstruction capability. They’re seeking a Senior Estimator / Preconstruction Manager to lead estimating and preconstruction efforts on major projects across commercial, healthcare, education, and institutional markets.
What You’ll Do
- Lead full-scope estimating, cost modeling, and preconstruction strategy for complex bids
- Manage budgets, scopes, and value-engineering with architects, clients, and subcontractors
- Oversee buy-out, subcontractor selection, and estimation-to-execution transition
- Mentor and build the estimating team; improve processes and tools
- Drive alignment between design and construction to deliver accurate GMPs
- Proven experience as a senior estimator or precon lead in commercial/institutional construction
- Deep understanding of design-build, CM/GC, negotiated contracts
- Advanced skills in cost estimating, value engineering, and scope development
- Familiarity with software tools (Procore, Bluebeam, takeoff software, etc.)
- Strength in leadership, communication, and collaboration across teams
- A firm with decades of regional presence and strong client loyalty
- Work on meaningful, high-impact projects across diverse markets
