Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented, organized, and proactive Onboarding / Compliance Specialist to join our healthcare staffing team. This individual will play a key role in ensuring that all healthcare professionals meet regulatory and contractual requirements prior to assignment, while also delivering a seamless onboarding experience. The ideal candidate is familiar with healthcare credentialing, understands compliance standards, can collaborate with domestic and offshore recruiters, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Onboarding:
    • Guide new healthcare professionals through the onboarding process, from offer acceptance to first day on assignment.
    • Collect, verify, schedule, and process all necessary documents including licenses, certifications, background checks, drug screens, and immunization records.
    • Ensure timely and professional communication with candidates and the recruiting team, addressing questions and providing support throughout onboarding.
  • Compliance:
    • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of federal, state, and facility-specific regulations affecting healthcare staffing.
    • Monitor credentialing status and proactively notify candidates and team members of upcoming expirations or missing requirements.
    • Conduct audits to ensure compliance with Joint Commission, HIPAA, OSHA, and internal quality standards.
    • Collaborate with account managers, recruiters, and healthcare facilities to resolve compliance discrepancies.
  • Documentation & Systems:
    • Accurately enter and manage candidate data in the applicant tracking system (ATS) and compliance software.
    • Generate reports and dashboards related to credentialing and onboarding status.
    • Contribute to the continuous improvement of onboarding and compliance processes.
Qualifications:
  • 1+ years of experience in healthcare staffing, credentialing, or compliance.
  • Familiarity with licensing boards, background check vendors, and medical credentialing processes.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory standards (e.g., Joint Commission, OSHA, HIPAA).
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and applicant tracking systems
  • Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree required
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous experience working in a staffing agency environment.
  • Knowledge of credentialing across multiple states.
  • Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) is a plus.
