We're looking for a Member of Technical Staff (AI) - a builder who thrives at the frontier of LLMs, agent systems, and applied research. You'll join a small, elite team developing AI-native products that transform cutting-edge research into real-world impact. This is a highly technical role with direct ownership across AI model experimentation, infrastructure, and deployment. You'll move fast, prototype ambitiously, and shape the product direction alongside experienced founders.
What You'll Be Doing
- Collaborate with founders and cross-functional teams to build AI-native products.
- Research, design, and implement LLM-powered systems (prompting, agentic frameworks, evaluation pipelines, and inference optimization).
- Transform academic AI research into scalable, performant solutions ready for production.
- Stay at the forefront of NLP and reasoning model advancements - embeddings, fine-tuning, and multi-agent orchestration.
- Evaluate, benchmark, and deploy open and proprietary LLMs for diverse product use cases.
- Own your projects end-to-end, from prototyping through production.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in AI/ML engineering, including pre-training, fine-tuning, inference, and agentic workflow design.
- Strong background in LLMs, model evaluation (Evals), and AI productization.
- Proven track record of delivering end-to-end AI systems in research labs or startups.
- Deep proficiency in Python, with experience using PyTorch, Transformers, LangChain, or similar frameworks.
- Familiarity with TypeScript/JavaScript and modern backend tools (FastAPI, Node, or Go).
- Bonus: experience with LLM Ops, vector databases, or cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
- Build AI systems that directly disrupt a multibillion-dollar industry with real-world impact.
- Work alongside a founding team with backgrounds in AI platforms, legal technology, and global consulting.
