Certified Nursing Assistant

Provide direct patient care within the Certified Nurse Assistant scope of practice under the direct supervision of physicians and nursing staff
- Assist with mobility: helps patients move, walk, or transfer from chair to wheelchair or other assistive devices
- Assists with providing water, food, monitors food and fluid intake
- Under the direction of the RN staff, takes vital signs and changes dressings
- Observes patient conditions: reports changes in health or behavior to nurses or doctors
Performs housekeeping tasks
- Ensures the patient care area is clean and safe
- Cleans chairs, surfaces, disposes of linens, dressings, etc.
- Removes any items that may cause harm to patient or caretakers
Performs other related duties, as assigned by the supervisor or nursing staff.
- Participate in practice improvements by implementing changes to procedures/workflows, identifying opportunities for improvement, and assisting with the delivery of compassionate and personalized patient care.
Education and Experience:
* Certification designation requires completing a short course of study and passing a test.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
* Patient centered, strong customer service orientation.
* Ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines and troubleshoot and resolve problems.
* Ability to work independently, exhibit mature judgment and make sound decisions.
* Ability to handle confidential information with the utmost judgment and discretion.
* Proficiency with MS Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook.

- Normal office environment.
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to lift 10-20 lbs.

- Standard office equipment, including personal computer and related technology.
