Estimator

We are looking for an experienced Construction Estimator to prepare cost estimates in all construction disciplines and at all stages of design. The clients you'll work with range from large public clients to smaller private initiatives. You can expect to service multiple projects per year year. This is an ideal position for a skilled estimator who doesn't want to be siloed and wants to work on a wide range of projects.
Responsibilities:
- Lead take-offs for all trades from initial drawing phase to project completion
- Work with trade partners, vendors, subcontractors and design teams to develop informed estimates to keep projects within budget
- Provide detailed instructions on all phases of construction
- Estimate labor, material, and equipment costs
- Work as part of a team on highly visible projects (large enterprises, government agencies, hospitals, etc.)
- Meet deadlines consistently and prioritize tasks effectively to ensure on-time project completion
- 3+ years of experience with take-offs of all trades
- Proven conceptual and lump sum estimating experience
- Excellent working knowledge of estimating computer software (i.e., Sage, Timberline)
- Strong experience pricing projects from initial drawing stage
- Strong understanding of estimating processes, technology, and related industry trends
- Experience in a general contractor construction organization
