Baptist Health Urgent Care is seeking skilled ARRT Radiology or Limited License X-Ray Technologists to join our dedicated team.

JOB SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for performing x-ray procedures, including managing body mechanics and patient movement, using a strong foundation in anatomy and physiology. The technologist will operate diagnostic equipment, develop films, and prepare examination rooms with necessary tools and supplies. Additionally, the role includes performing Medical Assistant duties to support patient care.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The following duties reflect the essential functions of this role, though not exhaustive. Additional duties may be assigned.

  • Warmly greet patients upon arrival in the waiting area, exam room, or x-ray room.
  • Communicate effectively with patients about wait times and guide them through the treatment process.
  • Address patient concerns and seek assistance in emergency situations when necessary.
  • Make follow-up calls promptly, ensuring a sense of urgency in patient care.
  • Assist front desk staff with patient check-in/check-out when required.
  • Collect and accurately document vital signs, patient history, and other relevant medical information.
  • Help with patient transfers and assist in procedures directly supervised by the healthcare provider.
  • Maintain thorough and accurate documentation related to each patient visit.
  • Conduct timely radiology procedures to aid in accurate evaluations and treatments by attending physicians.
  • Perform quality control measures to guarantee high-quality examinations.
  • Prepare patients for radiologic procedures while adhering to established safety protocols, including proper radiation protection methods.
  • Ensure that diagnostic equipment is functioning properly and report any issues to the Manager or provider.
  • Commit to ongoing education to enhance diagnostic imaging skills and knowledge with the assistance of external educational resources.
  • Maintain current licensure and certifications appropriate for the facility's radiology equipment.

WHAT'S THE SCHEDULE?
Full-time team members typically work a rotating schedule of 36-40 hours per week, including 12-hour weekday shifts and every-other weekend. PRN (per diem) team members are scheduled as needed.

WHAT'S REQUIRED?
• High school diploma or equivalent
• BLS Certification
• Arkansas State X-Ray License
• ARRT Certification (preferred)
• Experience as a Medical Assistant (preferred)
