Job Description:
Job Summary
- This is a senior level position in application/system engineering.
- Responsibilities include designing high density 400V+ DCDC isolated converters, developing and debugging analog circuits, writing datasheets and application/design notes, and providing application support and technical training.
- Work with design engineers, field applications team, and marketing to define high density module products in cloud computing power solutions for CPU, GPU, ASIC, and SOC.
- Develop application reference circuits and system level power management solutions for Data Center/AI applications.
- Hands-on lab bench evaluations, system and board level debugging, and prototype demonstrations.
- Work with cross-functional teams to support existing products and drive new product development.
- Write datasheets, application notes, design notes and papers in magazines and conferences to promote MPS products.
- MSEE or higher required
- 5+ years of hand-on experience in switch mode power supply designs. Familiar with lab tools like oscilloscope, DMM, power supplies, e-loads, frequency analyzer, etc.
- Lab automation experience with Python is a plus
- Experience with simulation tool like Simplis, Maxwell, Icepak, etc. is preferred.
- Experience in PCB design/layout is a plus.
- Fluent communication skills in English
- Excellent writing and presentation skills

Pay is based on market location and may vary based on factors including experience, skills, education and other job-related reasons. The base salary range for this position in Washington is $130,000 - $170,000. The base salary range for this position in California is $140,000 - $180,000.
