Advanced Certified Nursing Assistant

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with patient admissions, including orientation to the unit, routines, and equipment.
- Respond promptly to patient needs, providing direct assistance or communicating with appropriate personnel.
- Support the nursing care plan by performing delegated patient care tasks.
- Maintain patient safety by ensuring proper use of equipment and supplies.
- Manage and stock patient care supplies, maintaining a clean and organized environment.
- Participate actively in cost containment and accurate patient service charging.
- Engage in educational and performance improvement activities.
- Perform waived testing and maintain required nursing assistant skills as per unit competency.
- Demonstrate commitment to customer satisfaction, patient flow, and hospital capacity goals.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required.
- Current registration with the appropriate state nursing assistant registry.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- No prior experience required; on-the-job training provided.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to read and write English effectively.
- Flexibility in work tasks and schedules.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Understanding of age-specific patient care considerations.
- Ability to work variable shifts including nights.
- Physical stamina for standing, walking, bending, lifting, and turning patients.
- Visual and auditory acuity to observe patient conditions.
- Exposure to blood and body fluids with adherence to safety protocols.
