Medical Front Desk
PrideStaff Fort Myers is looking for a customer service focused, organized and dedicated Medical Front Desk associate that has experience greeting patients, verifying insurance and personal information, scheduling appointments, managing patient flow, collecting co-pays, and handling administrative duties like filing and answering phones

Shift/Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm
Pay Range: $17 - $19/hr.
Location: Bonita Springs, FL
Experience: 1+ years experience

Medical Front Desk Job Duties Include:
  • Greeting patients, verifying insurance and personal information, scheduling appointments, managing patient flow, collecting co-pays, and handling administrative duties like filing and answering phones
  • Key responsibilities also involve preparing for patient visits, ensuring the waiting area is organized, and maintaining patient confidentiality according to HIPAA guidelines.
Patient check-in
  • Greet patients warmly and professionally.
  • Verify and update patient demographics and insurance information.
  • Ensure patients complete necessary forms.
  • Confirm appointments and manage any changes.
  • Collect co-payments and other payments at the time of service.
Patient check-out
  • Schedule follow-up appointments.
  • Collect outstanding balances.
  • Coordinate necessary follow-up arrangements, such as scheduling tests or referrals.
  • Ensure all billing and registration information is properly transmitted.
Administrative and operational duties
  • Answer and route phone calls.
  • Manage patient records, including filing and updating electronic medical records (EMRs).
  • Coordinate with clinical staff regarding patient status and schedule delays.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area.
  • Handle general administrative tasks like managing office supplies and mail.
  • Adhere to all privacy and confidentiality procedures, such as HIPAA regulations.
