About the role
The Buyer is responsible to manage the procurement of materials, products, and supplies needed for our operations. The Buyer will be responsible for sourcing quality suppliers, negotiating contracts, and ensuring cost-effective purchasing while maintaining inventory levels and meeting business requirements. This role requires strong analytical skills, supplier relationship management, and a keen eye for market trends.
What you'll do
- Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to obtain the best quality, pricing, and delivery terms.
- Manage purchase orders, ensuring timely procurement and inventory control.
- Monitor market trends, industry conditions, and supplier performance to identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Collaborate with internal departments, including production, logistics, and finance, to ensure seamless supply chain operations.
- Maintain strong relationships with suppliers, resolving any issues related to quality, delivery, or pricing.
- Analyze purchasing data, generate reports, and make data-driven recommendations for procurement strategies.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and ethical sourcing standards.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency in procurement operations.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management.
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
- Knowledge of purchasing software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Effective communication and relationship-building skills.
