Production Worker

The Production Worker is responsible for all activities associated with helping on various machines and areas within the plant including setup, operation, cleanup, and recommending improvements to operations.

SCHEDULES:

1ST SHIFT: 6:30AM-3:00PM, with overtime

2ND SHIFT: 3:00PM-11:30PM, with overtime

PAY RATE:

$18.50-$18.50

JOB FUNCTION/PURPOSE

• Helps / assists on various machine and areas within the plant

• Cross-trains on other machines.

• Switches duties with Assistant when necessary.

• Reports all equipment deficiencies or malfunctions requiring maintenance or repair to the proper Supervisor.

• Adheres to production schedule and communicates any unusual scheduling issues to supervisor.

• Makes recommendations for optimizing the schedule to meet cost, quality and service goals.

• Monitors orders throughout the production run.

• Pulls samples as needed.

• Follows first article processes as posted near machine.

• Prints WIP(Work in Progress) and FG (Finished goods) load tags.

• Ensures the compliance of safety guidelines.

• Wears the proper safety equipment for the environment including safety glasses and steel toe shoes.

• Keeps work areas neat and orderly, maintaining halls and floors free of slip and trip hazards, and removing of waste materials.

• Maintains machine on a regular basis, dusting the top of the machine weekly.

• Will stack or feed on machines from time to time or as needed

• Performs other related duties as needed.
