Position Type: Permanent Full-Time Physician Assistant Trauma Surgery
Seeking an experienced Physician Assistant to provide overnight trauma and acute care surgery coverage in a hospital-based setting. This role involves managing high-acuity trauma and emergency general surgery patients with a high level of autonomy and physician collaboration.
Overnight shifts providing trauma and acute care surgery coverage
Manage trauma admissions, emergency general surgery, and inpatient care
Assist trauma surgeons with procedures, resuscitation, and operative support
Perform evaluations, develop treatment plans, and interpret diagnostics
EMR: Epic
Work autonomously while collaborating with a multidisciplinary care team
Participation in professional development and leadership opportunities
System-wide name clearance required
Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program (Master s degree required)
NCCPA certification (PA-C) REQUIRED (no exceptions)
Unrestricted Colorado PA license REQUIRED
Eligible for DEA and Medicare/Medicaid enrollment REQUIRED
BLS certification (no exemptions) REQUIRED
Minimum 2 years of trauma surgery experience OR completion of a surgical fellowship HIGHLY PREFERRED
Not accepting fresh graduates
No visa sponsorship available (no J-1 or H-1B)
Clean malpractice and license history preferred
No sanctions/exclusions from HHS/OIG or GSA REQUIRED
