We are seeking an experienced Urgent Care Physician for a locum tenens assignment in California. This opportunity begins on Mar 16, 2026, and spans a 60-day contract with sporadic 12-hour shifts from 9am to 9pm, offering anywhere from 5 to 15 shifts per month. Candidates must have current experience in urgent care and family practice, with additional emergency room experience encouraged. Job Details Location: California Start Date: Mar 16, 2026 LOA: 60 days Provider Type Needed: Urgent Care Physician Schedule: Sporadic 12-hour shifts (9am-9pm), 5-15 shifts per month Responsibilities and Duties Provide urgent care services to a diverse patient population Diagnose and manage acute illnesses and injuries Perform necessary procedures within the scope of urgent care Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care Maintain accurate and timely patient records Adhere to all relevant clinical protocols and standards Additional Information California medical license required Board certifications in Family Medicine and Pediatrics required Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and DEA certification required Demonstrated urgent care and family practice experience required Emergency room experience encouraged Benefits Strong compensation Travel-related expenses covered A-rated medical malpractice insurance provided Dedicated recruiter for future travel opportunities What are Locum Tenens Jobs?
