Job Description:
Our client is an award-winning architecture and interiors firm based in New York City, known for delivering high-end, design-forward commercial spaces. They are seeking an Intermediate Interior Architectural Designer to join their growing interiors team, contributing to a variety of commercial, hospitality, and corporate interior projects.
This is a hands-on role offering leadership opportunities across all project phases-from concept to construction-on multiple interior projects of varying scale. The successful candidate will bring strong design sensibility, technical expertise, and experience in coordinating teams and consultants.
The requirements of the role are:
- 3 to 7 years of relevant post-graduate U.S. experience.
- Professional degree in Architecture or Interior Design from an accredited institution.
- Experience with commercial interiors, including amenity, hospitality, and workplace environments.
- Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite; knowledge of SketchUp and Enscape preferred.
- Strong understanding of NYC codes, ADA, and Landmarks regulations.
- Experience coordinating with consultants during DD, CD, and CA phases.
- Ability to produce and structure well-coordinated construction documents.
- Familiarity with sourcing materials and drafting custom architectural details.
- Confidence in managing projects through all phases with oversight from a Project Manager.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and mentor junior staff.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and graphic presentation skills.
- Willingness to travel within the NYC metro area for site visits and meetings.
