Job Description Job Description We are seeking a dynamic Director of Engineering - Industrial to lead the development and execution of technology and business growth initiatives across our key industrial markets. In this high-impact role, you will guide innovation strategy, expand our product portfolio, and forge strategic partnerships to establish our proprietary technology, UnifiMI, as a new standard across aerospace & defense, automotive, agriculture, construction, transportation, oil & gas, and sporting goods. This is a strategic, forward-looking position ideal for a technical leader with an entrepreneurial mindset and a passion for building transformative industrial technologies. What You'll Do Drive Technology Strategy: Build and execute comprehensive technology development plans that support company growth objectives. Lead Market & Competitive Analysis: Identify emerging trends, evaluate the competitive landscape, and uncover new partnership or market opportunities. Build Strategic Partnerships: Develop and negotiate key relationships with manufacturing partners, end users, and industry stakeholders. Expand Product Offerings: Lead engineering and product development efforts to identify market gaps and expand the UnifiMI product portfolio. Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work closely with sales, marketing, finance, and operations to align and deliver on business and technology strategies. Guide Manufacturing Development: Oversee manufacturing process development for UnifiMI; expertise in cold heading, thread rolling, hot forging, and other threaded-part manufacturing methods is expected. Lead & Mentor Teams: Provide leadership, coaching, and direction to R&D and engineering teams, fostering innovation, technical excellence, and strong execution. What You Bring Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. A PhD or Master's degree is preferred. Proven track record of success in senior leadership roles in product and/or business development, preferably within industrial product development or manufacturing. Start-up or entrepreneurial experience is highly valued. Deep understanding of platform technology deployment, industrial distribution, and testing or regulatory requirements is expected. Strong strategic planning and analytical skills, with the ability to translate market insights into actionable business strategies. Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Demonstrated leadership ability, with a track record of leading high-performing teams and driving results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for innovation and driving business growth, is a must.
