Summary
This role focuses on insights delivery, reporting, dashboard development, and data analysis using SAS, SQL, Tableau, and Python. The candidate will perform data discovery, exploratory analysis, and build visualization assets that drive business decision-making. Strong analytical thinking and domain understanding are essential.
Core Skills & Experience
- Hands-on experience with SAS, Tableau, SQL, and Python
- Strong background in reporting, dashboarding, and visualization
- Ability to understand business domains, data structures, and insight-generation processes
- Expertise in data discovery, data analysis, and EDA
- Ability to optimize existing analytical assets/templates by removing redundancies, repointing data, and improving development processes
- Strong knowledge of using SQL for data exploration before dashboard/report creation
Business & Analytical Collaboration
- Work with cross-functional teams to understand business objectives and influence analytical solution strategies.
- Apply analytical and technical knowledge to drive conversations and support key business decisions.
- Apply advanced analytical techniques to address medium-to-large scale business problems.
- Use scientific and quantitative methods to generate actionable insights and recommendations.
- Convert insights into "insight-to-action" outputs that guide strategic decisions.
- Build dashboards, reports, and data visualizations to simplify findings for non-technical audiences.
- Transform complex analytical results into intuitive visuals and presentations.
- Identify relevant datasets and perform exploratory data analysis to validate hypotheses and prepare data for modeling/reporting.
- Integrate and transform data from multiple sources; apply proper data hygiene techniques.
- Thoroughly document assumptions, methodologies, validations, and testing processes.
- Ensure compliance with data, risk management, and regulatory guidelines.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and analytical tools to enhance solution approaches.
- Recommend process enhancements and asset optimization opportunities.
- Translate analytical results into clear communication materials for peer reviews and executive-level presentations.
- Deliver insights that influence management decisions and business strategies.
