Overview:

We are looking for a talented Sr. ServiceNow developer to deliver world-class ServiceNow applications for our federal clients. As a Sr. ServiceNow developer, you will be responsible for configuring ServiceNow components and developing customized solutions within the ServiceNow platform. You will also analyze requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, wireframes, work in a cross-functional agile delivery team, support testing, deployment, and documentation activities, as well as troubleshoot/resolve errors. To ensure success as a Sr. ServiceNow developer, you should have extensive experience working with ServiceNow platforms, application development skills, and the ability to solve complex software problems. Ultimately, a top-class Sr. ServiceNow developer can create dynamic and scalable ServiceNow applications that meet the changing needs of the company.

Sr. ServiceNow Developer Responsibilities
  • Configure, maintain, and optimize a self-hosted ServiceNow instance
  • Provide technical guidance and support for ITSM and ITAM modules, including:
    • Software Asset Management (SAM)
    • Hardware Asset Management (HAM)
  • Configure and maintain discovery services and service mapping
  • Address performance issues and optimize system instances
  • Proactively identify and resolve routine problems and platform issues
  • Collaborated with business stakeholders to define and document business requirements for ServiceNow implementation.
  • Analyzed current business processes and identified areas for improvement using ServiceNow capabilities, helping to drive process efficiency.
  • Developed functional and technical specifications, acting as a liaison between business users and the development team.
  • Supported ServiceNow upgrade cycles and new feature rollouts, ensuring user adoption and minimal disruption to business operations.
Systems & Architecture
  • Advise on best practices for configuration and implementation
  • Demonstrate experience with APIs, out-of-the-box functionality, and custom implementations
  • Develop process maps using standard methodologies and toolsets
  • Create systems engineering documentation, diagrams, and technical artifacts
  • Support process development and continuous improvement initiatives
Operational & Domain Knowledge
  • Strong knowledge of IT concepts, best practices, and procedures
  • Experience operating in a DoD or regulated environment
  • Solid understanding of networking protocols and ability to diagnose connectivity and permission issues
Minimum Skills and Qualification Required
  • Bachelor's and 4 years of experience, master's and 2 years of experience or 8+ in lieu of a degree
  • 3+ years of experience as ServiceNow developer
  • Experience across numerous parts of the ServiceNow platform and experience with commonly integrated third-party technologies
  • IAT II certification
Technical Skills:
  • Languages: JavaScript, HTML, CSS, AngularJS, GlideScript
  • Tools: ServiceNow, Git, Jenkins, Eclipse, Visual Studio Code
  • Databases: MySQL, PostgreSQL, ServiceNow DB
  • Operating Systems: Windows, Linux, macOS
Others: REST APIs, SOAP, Web Services, XML, JSON, Agile Methodologies

Certifications:
  • Certified ServiceNow System Administrator
