5 Days - 8 Hours, Monday - Friday: 8AM - 4:30PM (flexible)

Job Description

The Occupational Therapist is responsible for assessing, planning, evaluating, and implementing care for patients requiring occupational therapy. This role involves adhering to all standards of the Occupational Therapy Practice Act while providing technical therapy care, equipment, and interventions to a designated patient population.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize and supervise volunteers, students, support staff, and assistants in providing occupational therapy services.
  • Interpret and implement physician orders while ensuring safe care.
  • Maintain confidentiality of information and ensure professional communication.
  • Economically manage time and resources to create a positive work and therapy environment.
  • Perform other diverse duties as requested.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
  • Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy.
  • OT License in the state of Texas.
  • BLS certification (AHA only).
  • Acute experience preferred; experience with adult and geriatric patients in trauma, ortho, cardio, and general medical/surgical settings.
