Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse (RN) Specialty: Long Term Care (LTC) Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 2+ years of Long Term Care experience required License: Active Michigan RN License Certifications: Active American Heart Association BLS Must-Have: - Work History - Skills Checklist, current to 1 year, pertinent to the specialty (LTC) - 2 Supervisory Reference Forms completed within the last two years Description: The Registered Nurse provides professional and comprehensive nursing care within the scope of services. The target patient population for this position requires skilled clinical care services. Activities of this position are patient-focused and utilize the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation in accordance with nursing practice standards and physician orders. Regularly assesses patient needs and provides skilled nursing services as prescribed by the physician authorized plan of care and accepted standards of nursing practice. Initiates and revises the plan of care for assigned patients as necessary. Provides medication management and assesses therapeutic responses. Coordinates patient care by evaluating outcomes and providing ongoing feedback to others involved in care relative to patient status and changes needed in the patient care plan. Coordinates care with the Certified Nurse Aide and the interdisciplinary team. Notifies the physician of changes in patient condition and care needs, obtaining new orders as needed.
