Forklift Operator - Job Description

Responsibilities:
  • Operate sit-down, stand-up, or reach forklifts to move, load, and unload materials safely.
  • Transport pallets, products, and inventory throughout the warehouse or production area.
  • Perform accurate picking, packing, staging, and replenishment of materials.
  • Inspect forklifts before and after use; report maintenance issues or safety concerns.
  • Follow warehouse procedures for inventory control, scanning, labeling, and documentation.
  • Maintain clean and organized work areas to ensure a safe environment.
  • Assist with cycle counts, stock rotation, and general warehouse duties as needed.
  • Adhere to all OSHA guidelines, company policies, and safety standards.
Skills & Qualifications:
  • Experience operating forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, clamp, reach-adjust to your background).
  • Ability to read pick tickets, manifests, and inventory documents.
  • Skilled with handheld scanners and warehouse management systems (WMS).
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work in fast-paced environments.
  • Certified forklift operator (if applicable).
  • Ability to lift 50-75 lbs and stand for long periods.
