Our client is seeking a Security Architect to support and strengthen their security architecture and governance programs. The Security Architect will work closely with IT, engineering, and governance teams to ensure security controls align with regulatory and business requirements in highly regulated environments. This is a hybrid position based in the New York Metropolitan area.

Starting at $60/hour.

Security Architect's Responsibilities and Duties

  • Interpret and review technology and system designs through a security lens
  • Support the development, documentation, and enforcement of security architecture standards and processes
  • Partner with IT and engineering teams to embed security controls into infrastructure and application designs
  • Participate in security governance activities including design reviews, risk assessments, and control validation
  • Ensure solutions align with regulatory and compliance requirements common to regulated industries
Security Architect's Qualifications and Skills
  • Prior experience working in IT Security, Security Architecture, or Security Governance roles
  • Strong foundational knowledge of security principles, controls, and best practices
  • Experience operating in highly regulated environments such as finance, healthcare, government, or military
  • Process oriented mindset with strong documentation and organizational skills
  • Ability to interpret technical designs and communicate security requirements effectively
  • Early to mid career professional with hands on experience rather than strictly senior level credentials
