Join Our Team as a Lead Software Engineer

As a key member of our Engineering teams, you will have the opportunity to work remotely as part of a dynamic and innovative technology company. We are seeking a talented Lead Software Engineer to help us drive growth and innovation in cloud technology.

Our award-winning DoiT Cloud Intelligence (DCI) product integrates cutting-edge technology with personalized support, allowing us to tackle complex multicloud challenges alongside over 4,000 customers worldwide.

We are looking for someone who is not only proficient in backend development but also passionate about data pipeline engineering and distributed systems. In this role, you will scale backend services, integrate billing and usage data from various cloud providers, and maintain system reliability and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and scale backend services using Go and TypeScript, focusing on large-scale data integrations.
  • Collaborate with the billing data team to optimize, analyze, and ensure accurate cloud billing data delivery.
  • Enhance data pipelines and seamlessly integrate them into product-facing services.
  • Contribute to the core platform infrastructure that supports billing calculations and cloud analytics.
  • Implement robust monitoring and reliability practices for backend services and data systems.
  • Promote best practices for backend architecture, data processing, and system design in AWS and GCP environments.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of backend engineering experience with large-scale data systems.
  • Strong programming skills in Go and/or TypeScript; Python is a plus.
  • Demonstrated experience in designing and maintaining scalable APIs and services.
  • Proficient in SQL with experience in analytical databases like BigQuery, ClickHouse, Redshift, or Snowflake.
  • In-depth knowledge of cloud infrastructure, preferably AWS and GCP.
  • Understanding of AWS billing and cost optimization strategies is highly desirable.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across product and engineering teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment.
  • A sense of humor and an enjoyment of teamwork are encouraged

Bonus Points:

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience in performance tuning and cost optimization for large-scale data systems.
  • Familiarity with Kubernetes and modern DevOps practices.
