Location: NAVAIR Station Pax River, St. Mary's County, MD (On-site presence required daily)

Clearance: An ACTIVE Secret Clearance is mandatory. Candidates selected will undergo a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. US Citizenship is necessary for obtaining a clearance.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of eight years' experience in software requirements analysis, design, coding, integration, and testing.
  • Proven experience reporting program status and risks to leadership.
  • Background in developing new software requirements, including Statements of Work (SOWs), Contract Deliverable Requirements Lists, and Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCEs).
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and/or DevSecOps.
  • Experience using Jira and Confluence.

Responsibilities:

  • Engage in technical exchanges with external program offices to ensure solution interoperability.
  • Recommend software enhancements for improved performance, sustainability, architecture, and interoperability.
  • Advise on strategies to mitigate software obsolescence.
  • Gather input and feedback from customers to determine mission objectives and develop requirements.
  • Collaborate with product managers, UI/UX designers, and DevOps teams to ensure solutions align with user needs.
  • Lead software design and code reviews.
  • Establish coding and testing coverage standards.
  • Implement automated software testing strategies.
  • Work with Cyber Security experts to assess and resolve software vulnerabilities.
  • Create software cost estimates, program schedules, and risk mitigation strategies.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Active Scrum Master or Product Owner certification.

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.

Compensation: Our compensation is competitive and determined by several factors, including experience, education, training, security clearance, location, skills, and knowledge. The projected annual compensation for this role ranges from $90,000 to $140,000 (USD), plus a comprehensive benefits package.
