CT Technologist Job Details
  • Location: Rochester, NY 14642
  • Healthcare Setting: Hospital - Level 1 Trauma Center
  • Assignment Type: Travel CT Technologist
  • Start Date: February 2, 2026
  • End Date: May 2, 2026
  • Duration: 13 weeks
  • Shift: Monday - Thursday, 9:30pm - 8:00am (4x10 hour shifts per week)
  • Hours per Week: 40
  • On Call/Callback/Holidays: As needed per unit requirements
  • Estimated Weekly Salary: $2,530 - $2,720
CT Technologist Qualifications
  • Graduate of an approved School of Radiologic Technology
  • Certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
  • New York State CT Tech license (required prior to start)
  • Minimum 2 years of CT Technologist experience in hospital or trauma center
  • Level 1 Trauma Center experience required
  • BLS certification (American Heart Association)
  • Experience with Siemens CT scanners (minimum 6 months)
  • Epic EMR experience preferred
  • Injection certification preferred (or willingness to obtain during orientation)
  • Knowledge of Philips and Siemens imaging equipment preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Compassionate, patient-focused attitude
  • Collaborative team player in a healthcare environment
CT Technologist Responsibilities
  • Verify patient identity and exam details, following strict patient safety and hospital protocols
  • Collaborate with physicians to deliver high-quality diagnostic imaging and clinical support
  • Prepare and position patients for CT scans, explaining procedures for comfort and safety
  • Insert IVs as needed for imaging procedures
  • Safely lift or move patients with limited mobility using approved patient handling techniques
  • Maintain accurate patient records in Epic EMR and manage images in PACS
  • Ensure a clean, safe, and organized scanning environment
  • Participate in on-call, callback, and holiday coverage as required
