Position Summary/Purpose:

We are partnering with one of our clients in the region to find an innovative and dedicated Nurse Manager of Surgical Services to lead their department to new levels of excellence.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead with Excellence: Oversee and inspire a team of surgical nurses and staff, providing mentorship, training, and performance evaluations to drive exceptional patient care.
- Champion Patient Care: Ensure our patients receive the highest standard of care, from pre-operative preparation to post-operative recovery. Address patient needs and concerns with compassion and efficiency.
- Optimize Operations: Manage daily surgical department operations, including scheduling, resource allocation, and adherence to safety and regulatory standards.
- Drive Quality Improvement: Spearhead initiatives to enhance surgical services, continuously utilizing data and feedback to improve patient outcomes and departmental performance.
- Ensure Compliance: Maintain rigorous standards for regulatory compliance, infection control, and safety protocols.
- Foster Collaboration: Partner with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to streamline processes and enhance patient care.
- Education: Associate's degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred. BSN will be required within 3 years of employment.
- Experience: 3-5 years of RECENT Acute Care Leadership experience WITHIN unit is required.
- Licensure: Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas; Certification in Surgical Services (CNOR Specialty Certification) is a plus.
- Certification: Current BCLS certification is required. Current ACLS certification is required.
- Skills: Proven leadership, exceptional organizational skills, and a deep understanding of surgical technologies are essential. Proficiency in EHR systems is also necessary.
