About this team
As part of the Infrastructure Engineering team, you will be an Enterprise Kubernetes Solutions Architect. Your role is to help the organization adopt Enterprise Kubernetes easily and smoothly, by providing them with the tools and capabilities they need. You will also be an advocate for the technologies and solutions that the Enterprise Kubernetes team offers. You will communicate clearly with all levels of the organization, listening, educating and informing them. You will collaborate with the Enterprise Kubernetes team to plan the enterprise roadmap, and with the application teams to guide them on their Enterprise Kubernetes journey, focusing on solutions that minimize friction. You need to have strong technical skills, as well as excellent communication skills, for this role.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or related field and 10 years of work experience required. At least 3 years of experience in Kubernetes required with valid CKA (Certified Kubernetes Administrator) or CKAD (Certified Kubernetes Application Developer) certification.
Experience in the following areas required:
- Developing product strategies and domain roadmaps with business product managers, lead systems architects, and more senior engineers.
- Architecting solutions for managing Enterprise Kubernetes infrastructure at scale, across multiple regions.
- Aligning product/business solutions with organizational technology strategy and multiple Product Managers or primary Business stakeholders
- Collaborating with senior leadership, Enterprise Architects, and engineering leaders to develop robust cloud-based container solutions.
- Interacting directly with third-party vendors and technology service providers.
- Designing alerting, dashboards and monitoring tools for managing Kubernetes infrastructure
- Monitoring capacity, performance, and cost metrics to ensure quality and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Ability to record the use cases of customers and develop an architecture diagram.
- Able to promote the adoption of best practices among customers and conduct regular assessments to ensure compliance.
- Capable of providing mentorship and direction to engineering and applications teams.
- Furthering adaption of GitOps patterns and practices, service mesh, and blue/green or canary strategies.
