Project Accountant

Location: Coral Springs FL
Schedule: Full time, on-site, Monday - Friday, 8am to 5pm
SNI Companies is supporting a construction company in Coral Springs that needs short term project accounting help for the next two-three months. This role is ideal for someone who has hands on construction billing experience. You'll handle the daily accounting functions that keep operations moving and work directly with the VP of Finance for guidance.
Responsibilities
- Manage project billings prepare invoices review backup and ensure accuracy before submission
- Record daily accounting entries and maintain clear organized supporting documentation
- Reconcile accounts review project costs and assist with month end close tasks
- Review contracts change orders and progress billing details to confirm proper coding and compliance
- Monitor AR aging follow up on outstanding balances and support overall cash flow
- Work with project managers to verify billing status job progress and required documentation
- Support general accounting work including journal entries reconciliations and maintaining financial records
- Assist with cleanup efforts and keep day to day accounting steady during a transition period
- Experience with construction billing progress billing or project accounting
- Proficiency with QuickBooks Online
- Strong understanding of general accounting principles
- Ability to review detailed backup stay organized and manage multiple projects
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with both finance and operations
- Familiarity with Business Central is a plus, but not required
- Ability to work fully on site Monday through Friday
