Job Summary: Join our dedicated team at Cameo Dental Specialists as a compassionate and detail-oriented Dental Hygiene Specialist. Your role will involve providing exceptional preventive dental care, educating patients on oral hygiene practices, and working collaboratively with the dental team to enhance patient experiences. Your expertise will be crucial in fostering long-term oral health in our community.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive dental cleanings including scaling, polishing, and root planing as necessary.
  • Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) accurately.
  • Perform oral health assessments and accurately chart the conditions of teeth and gums.
  • Educate patients on effective oral hygiene techniques and preventive care practices.
  • Administer sealants and fluoride treatments when indicated.
  • Prepare treatment rooms and maintain strict infection control protocols for instrument sterilization.
  • Assist the dentist during patient examinations and procedures as required.
  • Document patient care and treatment plans clearly in digital patient records.
  • Monitor and restock hygiene supplies and equipment.
  • Adhere to HIPAA, OSHA, and regulatory standards diligently.
  • Carry out additional duties to enhance patient care and clinic operations as needed.
Required Qualifications:
  • Valid Dental Hygiene license in the state of Illinois.
  • Associate degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited institution.
Preferred Skills:
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Gentle and compassionate approach with patients.
  • Familiarity with dental software and digital charting systems.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality care.
  • Knowledge of common dental procedures and patient education techniques.
Schedule and Shift Details:
  • Full-time position (5 days per week).
  • Willingness to travel between LaGrange, West Loop, and Berwyn locations.
