Job Summary
As a Nursing Assistant (NA), you will play a crucial role in delivering compassionate, resident-centered care in a long-term care setting. Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, grooming, and dressing under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN).
- Delivering age-appropriate care that meets the physical and psychological needs of our residents.
- Supporting residents with mobility and transferrals while ensuring safety and comfort.
- Documenting resident care activities and communication of changes in condition to nursing staff.
- Assisting with meal preparation and dietary needs to enhance the dining experience.
- Maintaining cleanliness in resident living areas and supporting wellness and recreation programs.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
- Minimum age of 16 years.
- Prior nursing assistant or clinical experience in long-term care is desirable.
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification is required; training will be provided by the facility.
- Must complete yearly competency evaluations and continuing education (minimum of 12 hours annually).
- Registration with the Unlicensed Assistive Person (UAP) Registry may be required based on state regulations.
- A valid motor vehicle report and driver's license may be required for specific duties.
