  • Pay Range: $26.10 - $39.15
  • Location: Aurora St Lukes Medical Center - 2900 W Oklahoma Ave, Milwaukee, WI 53215
  • Hours Per Week: 40

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a safe, clean, and efficient operating room environment while ensuring optimal patient care.
  • Utilize aseptic surgical techniques to prepare materials, supplies, and equipment for surgical procedures.
  • Assist with setting up and preparing the operating room for each procedure, handling various types of equipment.
  • Act as a Second Assistant when necessary, supporting surgeons during procedures.
  • Transport patients and manage necessary equipment and supplies efficiently.
  • Ensure all specialty carts are stocked, sterile, and in proper working condition.
  • Demonstrate thorough knowledge and skills in managing patients, addressing their unique age-related needs.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification required within 6 months of employment.
  • No prior experience required.
  • Knowledge of aseptic techniques, operating room equipment, and excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Basic computer skills are essential.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work in a high-stress, fast-paced environment and perform physical tasks including lifting and transporting patients.
  • Required to wear protective equipment and stay vigilant about safety protocols.
  • Must possess functional sight and hearing.
