Our Parsons Washington, DC office is now hiring for a Senior Roadway Engineer to support our roadway and civil engineering projects in the DC region, with a desire to work on both conventional and design/build roadway programs. You can be a part of a global company that has transformed infrastructure projects around the world In this role, you will work with roadway design, pavement rehabilitation and have the technical expertise to deliver any other type of civil engineering design.

In this role, you will plan and design roadway structures to ensure reliability, resource efficiency, and cost-effectiveness. You will be responsible for the development of engineering computations, material quantity take-offs, estimates, surveys, and designs. This position will be on a hybrid basis in the Centreville, VA, or Washington, DC office.

Responsibilities
  • Perform conventional and moderately complex highway/roadway engineering tasks and particularly important engineering work, efficiently and accurately.
  • May be assigned to a project or organizational team, or as a lead engineer for a specific discipline on a small to intermediate-sized project.
  • Provide input and technical guidance to CAD Designer/Drafters, Designers, and lower-level Engineers working on the same project.
  • Commitment to quality and continuous improvement through innovation, creative thinking, and improved results.
  • Establish and maintain cooperative and productive relationships with all employees, clients, and other stakeholders.
Qualifications
  • 8 years or more of related work experience with highway/roadway engineering design.
  • VDOT & DDOT experience is a must.
  • BS in Civil Engineering is required.
  • MS in Civil Engineering is preferred.
  • PE licensure is highly preferred.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficient knowledge of MS Office and MicroStation.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of industry-standard and specialty roadway design and analysis software.

Salary Range: $86,700.00 - $151,700.00
