Job Description:

• Participates in all building cleaning activities listed under cleaning schedules and procedures such as mop, sweep, or clean all floors, vacuum and shampoos carpets; dust all cabinets, desks, and surfaces; clean all glass partitions and windows; scrub, strip, wax, and buff floors; spot clean spills/stains on floors or surfaces; remove vandalism marks from building or equipment; clean, sanitize, and polish all washroom fixtures; fill all dispensers, gather and dispose of refuse.
• May conduct ground maintenance including landscaping, snow removal, painting, raking, or other similar tasks.
• Consults with Lead Custodian regarding unusual maintenance problems and make recommendations concerning the purchase of supplies, material, and equipment.
• Check to ensure that buildings are heated/cooled, cleaned, locked, and unlocked in readiness for all activities, sporting events, concerts, meetings, or special events. Keep simple activity records.
• Perform other comparable duties of a like or similar nature as assigned.

Position Requirements:

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to follow directions with attention to detail
• Ability to climb 20-30 feet
• Able to lift 50-60 pounds
• Endurance to walk/stand for majority of shift

Start Date - As agreed upon; 2025-26 School Year

Compensation Package - Union position classification B21 offers a starting wage of $18.00 to $20.00 per hour, based on experience. Additionally, a benefits package is available that includes health insurance, life insurance, long-term disability, dental insurance, vision insurance, and 403b retirement plan.
