Overview: MV Transportation is excited to announce an opening for a Transportation Operations Supervisor. Join our dedicated team and play a crucial role in ensuring safe and efficient street operations while meeting client requirements.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all services are delivered according to contract specifications.
  • Conduct regular ride checks, site inspections, and road observations to meet client and safety standards.
  • Verify that all operators are in proper uniform and possess the necessary licenses while on duty.
  • Respond to and document accidents and incidents appropriately.
  • Proactively manage and minimize service disruptions.
  • Document findings from site checks and road observations, providing detailed reports to project staff.
  • Check wheelchair securement and vehicle cleanliness on in-service vehicles.
  • Monitor on-time performance, schedule and route adherence during street operations.
  • Provide accurate customer information for site personnel and at key locations.
  • Assist in managing situations following accidents, gathering information, and coordinating with dispatch to resume service.
  • Accompany operators to medical facilities as deemed necessary after incidents.
  • Fill vacant shifts to ensure uninterrupted service delivery.
  • Conduct gate checks at scheduled pull-out and pull-in times to ensure timely service and completion of paperwork.
  • Identify the need for potential rerouting due to traffic, construction, or accidents.
  • Ensure all operators are fit for duty and comply with uniform and equipment standards.
  • Assist operators with passenger issues and other service-related concerns.
  • Support dispatch and maintenance staff with vehicle changeouts in the field.
  • Provide feedback to safety and operations departments regarding safety performance and incidents.
  • Help assess the preventability of accidents and recommend training improvements based on trends.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of all field observations.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Certifications as required by local contracts.
  • Flexible schedule to accommodate safety and driver training needs.
  • Experience in passenger transportation preferred.
  • Prior training or field supervision experience is a plus.
  • Strong safety and service record.
  • Knowledge of local training programs and operations is beneficial.
  • Familiarity with the service area is an advantage.
  • Understanding of client and performance requirements.
  • Ability to manage emergencies effectively.
  • Familiarity with project-specific vehicles and systems.
  • Knowledge of State and Federal regulations related to safety.
  • Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English and Spanish.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across departments.
  • Capable of working independently and objectively.
