The Senior Accountant plays a key role in supporting the day-to-day financial operations of Say Yes Buffalo Scholarship, Inc. This position is responsible for executing daily and monthly financial transactions, ensuring accurate and timely reporting, and assisting the Business & Finance Department with various accounting functions as needed. The Senior Accountant will also guide the Staff Accountant to support a smooth and effective workflow within the department.

Position Summary: The primary role of the Senior Accountant will be to support day-to-day business functions of Say Yes Buffalo Scholarship, Inc., including daily and monthly financial transactions, and reporting requirements assigned by the Business & Finance Department as needed.

This position is responsible for executing daily and monthly financial transactions, ensuring accurate and timely reporting, and assisting the Business & Finance Department with various accounting functions as needed. The Senior Accountant will also guide the Staff Accountant to support a smooth and effective workflow within the department.

Minimum Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.

· Valid NYS Driver’s License.

· Preferred 2–3 years of accounting experience.

· Solid working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

· Strong analytical, time management, and problem-solving skills.

· Strong written and verbal communication skills.

· Technology-savvy and proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.

· Experience with Sage Intacct is a plus.

Salary Range :

$72,00 based on a 35-hour work week, exempt position
