Description
  • Assess patients from pediatric to geriatric populations, employing both standardized testing and observational analysis.
  • Create customized treatment plans targeting immediate and long-range communication, cognitive, or swallowing objectives.
  • Deliver personalized speech therapy that prioritizes communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing skills.
  • Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team that includes physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, and families to provide holistic care.
  • Educate patients and their families to support progress beyond the therapy sessions.
  • Support inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions when necessary to ensure a seamless treatment journey.
  • Maintain precise and prompt documentation in accordance with state, federal, and organizational guidelines.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development, keeping current in methodologies and practices in the field.
Education
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized university.
  • Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification is pending.
Certifications
  • State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within the first month of employment.

  • Expertise in evidence-based treatments for diverse age ranges, possessing a solid grasp of both developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
