This crucial role ensures accurate job costing and supports management with clear financial analysis, playing a key role in monitoring expenses for profitability across all projects. This is a direct hire opportunity. The schedule can flex between 8am-4pm or 9am-5pm. Lunch is fully paid. Must haves:

  • 3+ years of construction experience
  • QuickBooks experience
  • Comfortable working in the office daily
salary: $65,000 - $75,000 per year
shift: First
work hours: 8 AM - 4 PM
education: Bachelors

Responsibilities

  • Job Cost Control & Tracking: Maintain accurate project cost records by meticulously recording, reviewing, and reconciling costs for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors.
  • Financial Reporting & Analysis: Prepare detailed job cost and variance reports for management review , actively identifying and explaining cost discrepancies.
  • System Integrity & Compliance: Verify that costs are properly coded to the correct jobs and cost categories , and ensure adherence to company policies and accounting procedures.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with project managers to monitor cost performance and support the accounting team with monthly General Ledger reconciliation and closing.
