Job Summary

Our client is seeking a Field Service Technician, SPD to join a dedicated team committed to enhancing patient outcomes through innovative acute care solutions. As a Field Service Technician, your primary responsibilities will involve the installation, inspection, maintenance, and troubleshooting of sterile processing equipment to ensure optimal functionality and safety.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install sterile processing equipment including sterilizers, ultrasonics, washers, and cart washers according to specifications.
  • Inspect, test, and diagnose malfunctioning equipment using appropriate instruments.
  • Repair or replace defective components and electrical parts.
  • Coordinate site readiness with personnel and contractors for equipment installations.
  • Communicate regularly with customers and stakeholders regarding project status and issues.
  • Perform remote diagnostics to resolve equipment issues and escalate when necessary.
  • Maintain factory certification and proficiency on servicing product lines.
  • Drive revenue growth through solutions aligned with the service portfolio.
  • Complete administrative duties including work orders, reports, and documentation.
  • Travel up to 75 percent of the time.
Experience
  • 3-5 years of experience working in a sterile processing environment, combined with prior technical work-related experience (Strongly Preferred).
  • 3-5 years of experience installing and/or repairing HVAC systems (Strongly Preferred).
Skills
  • Technical proficiency in hydraulic and AC/DC electrical systems.
  • Ability to interpret schematics and site drawings.
  • Experience in mechanical, diagnostic, and troubleshooting tasks.
  • Understanding and application of pneumatic, plumbing, mechanical, and electrical theory.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Flexibility in working hours, including availability for mandatory overtime and weekends.
Education
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associate's degree in fluid dynamics, electronics, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is strongly preferred.
Additional Requirements
  • Maintain a valid driver's license and good driving record.
  • Subject to background checks and credentialing.
