Expected salary range: $90,000 to $100,000 depending on experience, complemented by a full benefits package including a bonus and 401(k).
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to perform advanced technical problem-solving for nuclear plant operations. In this role, you will be responsible for making key technical decisions and should possess excellent functional knowledge and its practical application, as well as a deep understanding of relevant industry codes and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Offer specialized technical expertise in developing and implementing engineering analyses, activities, and programs.
- Engage directly to identify and resolve equipment and system challenges through technical consultation.
- Manage engineering tasks and issues effectively.
- Conduct engineering tasks as directed, applying sound engineering principles.
- Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of work while adhering to standard design criteria and regulatory codes.
- Perform independent research to support various technical projects and analyses.
- Suggest new equipment, concepts, and methods to enhance performance, reduce costs, mitigate design flaws, or comply with regulatory updates.
- Complete additional tasks as assigned by management, including emergency support and involvement in outage activities.
Minimum Qualifications for Senior Level Engineer
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Chemical, Civil/Structural, Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical, or Nuclear) required.
- At least 5 years of nuclear or related engineering experience.
- Successful completion of medical and access requirements relevant to position duties.
Preferred Qualifications
- Engineer in training certification.
- Experience with Large Steam Turbine-Generator systems.
- Familiarity with valve and hydraulic systems.
- Knowledge of control systems.
- Experience with Emerson Ovation systems.
