Job Title: Pediatric Hospitalist Physician
Job Specialty: Hospitalist - Pediatrics
Job Duration: Permanent, Full-Time
Shift: Varied shifts - Combination of in-house and call from home
Guaranteed Hours: Full-time (2016 hours annually)
Experience: Minimum of 1 year of current inpatient hospitalist work experience required
License: Nevada license (or willingness to obtain) required
Certifications: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatrics
Must-Have:
- At least 1 year of current inpatient hospitalist work experience
- Ability to provide the last 12 months of case logs from a hospital setting
- Clean malpractice/license history preferred
- Candidates must be Board Eligible (within 5 years of eligibility) or Board Certified
Job Description:
- Join a team of 8 Pediatric Hospitalists in a dedicated pediatric facility
- Provide care across a 46-bed pediatric floor with an average daily census of 25-30 patients
- Collaborate closely with pediatric intensivists in the 24-bed Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) and the 14-bed Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU)
- Work alongside pediatric emergency medicine physicians in a 30-bed pediatric emergency room
- Participate in a practice complemented by a near full array of pediatric subspecialty support
- Engage in academic affiliation opportunities with the University of Nevada School of Medicine, with pediatric and family practice residents rotating through
- Offer care as part of a team within a facility that houses the largest and most comprehensive NICU and PICU in the region
- Collaborate with an affiliated neonatology practice covering a 72-bed Level IV NICU
- Opportunities for relocation may be discussed during interviews
- Not accepting visa or locum tenens candidates
