As a Marketing Specialist Intern, you will perform marketing related tasks and projects to achieve overall marketing plans and divisional strategic objectives.

Essential Functions:
  • Write clear, compelling copy for various mediums (e.g., press releases, ads, website, newsletters).
  • Perform design and layout for various mediums (e.g., print, digital).
  • Ensure creative materials align with brand standards.
  • Draft and update web content and social media efforts.
  • Research, media placement, advertising, promotional items, public relations, or events.
  • Assist with the development, creation, production, and execution of marketing collateral.
  • Coordinate internal division communications, such as announcements and newsletters.
  • Communicate with internal teams and external groups to achieve marketing objectives.
  • Contribute to marketing projects.
  • May assist in the coordination of trade shows, demonstrations, or open houses. Draft schedule and logistics of booth and materials.
  • May update web content and/or social media efforts.
  • Prepare various documents and reports as needed.
  • Assist with compliance materials.
  • Complete summer end internship presentation.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area. Follow established safety and ergonomic standards.
  • May be called upon to perform comparable duties of a similar or related nature and/or assist in other areas as needed.
  • Learning, understanding, continuously improving, and promoting the division’s quality management system in accordance with ISO standards.
Education & Experience:
  • Enrollment in a bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, graphic design or related field.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Basic knowledge of market research is preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of web marketing, social media, print processes, and advertising.
  • Proficient with computers, including Microsoft Office programs.
  • Graphic design experience is preferred.
  • Photography, videography capture and editing skills preferred.
  • Basic administrative skills. Must be very detail oriented.
  • Exceptional oral and written communications.
  • Demonstrated innovative and creative thinking.
  • Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and time management skills.
  • Team player who is self-motivated and has the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members and leadership staff.
  • May travel up to 10% for trade shows and other events.
  • Annual Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check required.


Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:

Physical Requirements: Required to sit, stand, walk, bend, and reach. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Working Conditions: Exposure to a normal office environment. Position may occasionally require entering a production environment, including exposure to noise, fumes, moving machinery, and varied temperatures.
