Float Medical Assistant Talent Profile
1. Key Qualifications

• Certification: Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Registered Medical Assistant (RMA),Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)or equivalent preferred
• Experience:
- 1-3 years of experience in a clinical setting preferred
- Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy
2. Core Skills

• Clinical Skills:
- Taking vital signs
- Performing Point-of-Care Testing
- Performing EKGs, phlebotomy, and other diagnostic tests
- Assisting with minor procedures
- Ensuring infection control and safety protocols

• Administrative Skills:
- Managing patient flow and supporting providers as needed
- Maintaining accurate patient documentation
- Coordinating referrals and pre-authorizations
- Handling inventory and supply restocking

• Interpersonal Skills:
- Strong communication and active listening
- Compassionate, patient-first care approach
- Ability to work effectively with multiple teams across locations
- Professional and calm under pressure

The Float Medical Assistant plays a vital role in supporting patient care across multiple DOCS locations. This position is scheduled as needed and picks up shifts based on coverage needs, including weekends or evenings if applicable.
