Hypower is currently seeking an Airfield Project Engineer to join our team The salary range is $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.

The Project Engineer within the Airfield Group plays a crucial role in overseeing and managing the airfield projects. We are seeking a detail-oriented construction Project Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist the project manager and superintendent in managing, coordinating, and overseeing construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.

Essential duties and responsibilities:

  • RFI's and Submittals. Create and submit requests for information (RFI) and submittals for projects using Procore platform.
  • Project take-offs and As-builts. Ability to read and understand technical drawings and project specifications to create a quantity takeoff or produce the project progress as-built. Bluebeam Revu knowledge is a plus.
  • Technical Support. Provide technical support and guidance to the Project Managers and Superintendents.
  • Documentation. Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including meeting minutes, drawings, specification documents, and progress reports.
  • Processes and Procedures. Must be comfortable with a system that has documented processes and procedures for all tasks. Use of technology platforms for financials, project management, etc.
  • Comfortable with establishing and maintaining customer relations. Understanding the balance between protecting our Company and maintaining relationships with clients.
  • The duties and responsibilities are intended to describe the general nature and scope of work being performed by this position. This is not a complete listing and other duties may be required / assigned as needed.
Qualifications:
  • Proficient in software (Word, Excel, Outlook, Smartsheets)
  • BS and/or MS in Electrical or Civil Engineering from an accredited University or closely related field.
  • Proficient using Procore and Bluebeam Revu is a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrate and uphold all Hypower's core values, which are relationships, professionalism, results, continuous improvement and community.
  • Must have the ability to travel throughout the southeast US.
  • Willingness to travel for site surveys, project cope walks, and meetings.
