Sr. Accountant

Century Group is partnering with a client who is seeking a Sr. Accountant to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary $45 to $52 per hour.
Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial reports for property portfolios, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Oversee lease administration, including rent rolls, lease abstracts, and tenant billing.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely payments and collections.
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts for properties
- Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded.
- Perform month-end close procedures, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis.
- Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost savings and revenue enhancement.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 5-7 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a senior or supervisory role.
- CPA or CMA certification required.
- Advanced proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, (Excel)
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proven leadership skills, with the ability to mentor and guide junior staff.
- In-depth understanding of GAAP.
