Schedule Details:

You could be eligible for a $10,000 SIGN-ON Bonus with relocation assistance or a $2,000 SIGN-ON Bonus for evening shifts. Join our exceptional Operating Room Team at one of Wisconsin's largest hospitals, known for its 24/7 on-site heart-care team and commitment to innovative care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and maintain a clean, safe, and efficient surgical environment.
  • Utilize aseptic techniques for surgical procedures, including setting up sterile fields and passing instruments.
  • Assist in patient positioning and be part of the surgical team as a second assistant when necessary.
  • Maintain operational equipment and supplies; communicate any issues to staff promptly.
  • Transport patients and manage various equipment with safety and care.
  • Continuously ensure a focus on the principles of growth and development appropriate to varied patient demographics.

Requirements:

  • Licensure: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 6 months, unless exempted by department leadership.
  • Education: Completion of an accredited surgical technology program.
  • Experience: No prior experience required.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Understanding aseptic surgical techniques and operating room equipment.
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Basic computer proficiency.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work in a high-stress, fast-paced environment.
  • Must be capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and performing tasks requiring physical agility.
  • Exposure to various hazards including electrical, chemical, and biological substances.
