Join a respected academic cardiology department in Springfield, Illinois, as a full-time General Cardiologist. This opportunity offers a balanced mix of clinical care, teaching, and scholarly engagement in a collegial, physician-led environment. The position is available as the current general cardiologist transitions to an interventional fellowship in mid-2025.

- Predictable Cardiology Schedule: Enjoy a structured workweek with weekend rounding only during inpatient weeks, and no overnight call as fellows manage after-hours coverage
- Teaching and Research: Mentor cardiology fellows, residents, and medical students while participating in weekly conferences, Grand Rounds, and TEE training with dedicated academic time for study and professional growth
Who You Are
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiology
- Eligible for medical licensure in Illinois
- Committed to academic medicine, teaching, and patient care
- Experience with TEE preferred but not required
Compensation and Benefits
- Base Salary: Generous academic salary with additional earning potential
- Sign-On & Relocation: $10,000 combined allowance
- Time Off & Support: 5 weeks PTO, 13 holidays, $3,000 CME allowance
